We get daily deliveries of line-caught Yellow Fin Tuna, Mahi-Mahi, Wahoo, Snapper, Marlin and often have lobster on the menu! We also serve New Zealand steak and pork chops and our giant Balcony burger is quick becoming a favourite in Vava'u!

A very clever redesign by the current owners took advantage of a gap in the Vava’u market, and an increasing move by tourists to self-catering to help keep costs down, but still have an enjoyable holiday. The restaurant was transformed into a family home capable of catering for larger parties (which can still be changed back if you wish to make more money). The units had kitchenettes installed and hey presto Vavau’s only self-catering resort rises like a phoenix to capture its market share of tourists and business travellers. Whilst providing an enjoyable, more relaxed income for the owners from the huge veranda overlooking the harbour in their grand resort home!

    But don’t think that means low profit…

    • This property has a 50 year, renewable Government Estate Land lease at a very low annual lease cost. Not an easy or fast process to obtain in the Pacific.
    • Tongan feasts and functions are common place under both the covered barbeque and sprawling grounds to give another income source.

Harbourview has all the licenses and is fully operational. The primary asset is their coveted Government Estate Land Lease; a 50 year Land Lease, which is endlessly renewable and akin to "freehold."
